SPKI has received innovation funding for “Speech Recognition and Reduced Documentation Burden Using Artificial Intelligence.” The project is led by SPKI, in collaboration with Helse Nord, Helse Nord IKT, the Norwegian Centre for E-health Research, and the National Library of Norway. The project has been awarded NOK 1.1 million over a two-year period.
The aim is to identify needs, pilot AI-based speech and documentation tools, and develop evaluation frameworks and datasets for safe and effective use in specialist health services. The trials will take place at selected units at UNN, including mental health care, BUP (Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Outpatient Clinic), the emergency department, and radiology.
The background for the study is that healthcare personnel spend considerable time on clinical documentation; better tools can free up more time for patients and improve documentation quality.
Experiences and results will be shared continuously on SPKI.no, in reports, and at relevant conferences.
If you would like more information or to participate in the pilots, please don't hesitate to contact SPKI.
