We welcome Stine Hansen and Camilla H. Andersen, who were recently employed at SPKI.
Stine is a data scientist and has a background in the machine learning group at UiT, where in recent years she has researched artificial intelligence (AI) in medical image analysis. In her doctoral work, she researched image segmentation from limited data, focusing on both method development and application in collaboration with medical experts. In addition to image segmentation, she has also worked with explainable algorithms, which in addition to giving a prediction also explain why the model makes this prediction.
In SPKI, she looks forward to being able to contribute actively to the development and implementation of AI tools for the benefit of both patients and clinicians. "I am looking forward to becoming part of the SPKI team and working on various exciting projects. Being able to use AI to improve healthcare is a very inspiring and motivating task," says Stine.
Camilla is employed as an AI radiographer and will, in collaboration with SPKI, be the project manager for the pilot project «Utprøving av KI-plattform på røntgenavdelingen UNN Tromsø» (Testing of an AI platform at the X-ray department UNN Tromsø). This project is part of the follow-up work to the Strategy for artificial intelligence in Helse Nord 2022-2025 and will contribute to gaining practical experience with the introduction and use of AI solutions in clinical practice. Camilla is a trained radiographer with additional qualifications as a reporting radiographer. She has several years of experience in both OUS and the X-ray department at UNN Tromsø. "AI is an incredibly exciting and future-oriented technology, and I look forward to being able to contribute to the work of testing AI tools, which can potentially relieve stress and improve the workflow for my colleagues in their busy working days," says Camilla.
